Hazel's Northeast

I've driven past this place a million times. It's fitting to start this blog with such an anticipated location.

www.hazelsnortheast.com
2859 Johnson St NE Minneapolis, MN  55418

The Basics
Atmosphere: classy hipster
Tunes: above average
Pros: outdoor seating, good waiting area
Cons: very busy on a Sunday afternoon, a bit on the spendy side, food took awhile
Special Features:
Organic pork and egg products from Fischer Farms, personalized coffee blend by True Stone Coffee

The coffee was good. I'd go there just for the coffee.

I ordered the flatbread that was on their specials menu.
With prosciutto, greens, and a fried egg on top, this was tasty. A spendy $12 made me kind of wish I just got the quiche for $8.50. Nevertheless, this was yummy.

My vegan in denial compadre ordered the Mission Burger.
This is a vegan garden burger with pico de gallo, pepper jack, and guac. One of the best veggie burgers I've tasted for $9. However, my veggie burger experience is limited.

It was a little cold today (IN JUNE) to sit outside, but overall it was a nice Sunday lunch.
